which apartment would you choose?

These are our finalists, all more or less affordable and I think all sufficiently large for the 4 of us. What do you think about them and their locations in relation to major art sites and just as nice places and neighbourhoods to stay in?

Thanks for whatever you can share! Laura.

apartment #1 6, rue des Chartreux [a couple of streets south of Luxembourg Gardens] I. www.rentalfrance.com/index.php…

#1 just got knocked off--a bit too expensive for 12 nights--but I%26#39;m still completely indecisive about which of the other 4 would be best in terms of area etc.

please help!!

I LOVE the look of the Notre Dame apartment. My husband and I love that area too-- it%26#39;s quite close to the Seine, which means very %26quot;central%26quot;. So, close to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Ill St. Louis... etc etc.

Good luck! You%26#39;ll have a blast in Paris, no matter where you stay! :)

|||

I%26#39;d choose #4. We%26#39;ve rented from this company three times and found them to be very pleasant to deal with.

|||

thanks, both of you. Glad to hear VIP were ok to deal with for you. No takers for #5?? (the owners have been so nice to deal with, but I%26#39;m worried it%26#39;s in a non-descript sort of area.)

The 4th is certainly still very well located! I couldn%26#39;t see an exact map, since I need to be a member, but it%26#39;s still a good area. You are %26quot;further%26quot; over, but that is a relative term in Paris, which is an extremely walkable city. Nothing is ever %26quot;too%26quot; far away!

If you want to have a look on the neighborhoods, use this website :

http://www.pagesjaunes.fr

Just type the apartment adress, and you will get a map, an aerial view an even a picture of the building ! Very very useful.

|||

Having trouble getting my browser to open pagesjaune. Any suggestions?

|||

Try this :

pagesjaunes.fr/ciweb2g-pagesjaunes/Recherche…

|||

thanks, only-lyon. Now I can get some parts to open but not the %26quot;photo%26quot; links: I get the ms. that Firefox can%26#39;t find server (even though it CAN find the server for the %26quot;plan%26quot; %26quot;itinerarie%26quot; and %26quot;vue aerienne%26quot; and can even provide aerial photos if I choose %26quot;photo%26quot; rather than %26quot;plan after opening the initial %26quot;plan%26quot; tab above the address. Oh well, the aerial view is interesting and the map very detailed, so those are good things!

thanks again.

|||

Too bad it doen%26#39;t work well, I don%26#39;t understand why...Yes the aerial view gives a good understanding of the neighborhood.

So which apartment did you finally choose ?
