Nice lovely flakes coming down. Mt. Ventoux is not visible.
Not sure if it will stick, but anyone heading this direction best bring a heavy coat !
:)

I spent some time in Provence before I realised that Mont Ventoux isn%26#39;t permanently snow-capped! Any likelihood of skiing?
|||
Not yet on the skiing, but there is most defnitely skiing at the top of Ventoux - as long as we get enough snow. It is just a T-bar lift and I hate those, but lots of folks go.
And many people think the rocky / sandy top of Mt. Ventoux is snow.
It is now!

When I said %26quot;not yet%26quot; I meant not yet this winter...

Wow Toutou, because you are on the Avignon forum I thought you meant it was snowing there!

good morning
My family reported snow in cavaillon ...
Winter has arrived . Summer was just there a few days ago with lunch on the terrasse.

Chic - we are only 30 minutes from Avignon, so I put the post there. I guess I should have put it in the Provence forum - but that seemed too large an area to note snow in this particular spot. Oh well.
If it snowed in Cavaillon too, Avignon probably got some flurries also.
It didn%26#39;t stick. But it was pretty and it was/is darned cold.
|||
and sounds so strange to hear it is snowing, with as hot as it was during our hols in June this past summer.
Did it come with a mistral?
|||
100 km winds - bitter..
The winds have calmed now and the snow did not stick. There were flurries in Avignon too, even in Marseille.
This morning, I woke to solid white frozen ground. Thick frost. Tis cold !!
|||
There were flurries in Toulon as well.
|||
Looks like a cold winter.
Tho the chaine meteo calls for 14 and 15 C on Monday and Tuesday.. I do hope that happens ..
For anyone thinking it doesn%26#39;t get cold in Provence, IT DOES !!!
