Visiting Paris with kids dueing christmas

Hi all

we are visiting paris during christams time for 3 days. We are a family of two couples with two kids (5 and 6 yrs old). We were thinking of visiting eifel tower, versailles palace and may be disney land. CAN YOU PLEASE SUGGEST how should we spend these three days? at this age group%26gt; is disney world enjoyble?

Which three(3) days of the week will you be visiting ? (as an example, Chateau de Versailles and Musée d%26#39;Orsay is normally closed on Mondays; Musée du Louvre and others on Tuesdays). For the rest, you should go out and pick up a good guidebook for Paris and create your own personal priorities list.

At Christmas in Paris, the Champs Élysées is decorated and lit, as are the grand magazins; there are free public ice skating rinks set up out in front of Hotel de Ville in the 4eme and at Place Raoul Dautry in the 15eme. In past years, the city has also set-up free carousels at various locations around the city. Even if you%26#39;re not Roman Catlolic, attend a late-Sunday morning service at Notre Dame...if only for the pomp and pagentry of the event.

we will be in paris on 23, 24 and 25 December which are sunday, monday and tuesday. do yopu sugges that we take hop on hopf off trip one day? we are from belgium. attending the service will be nice but with kids it will be difficult. besides we r reaching paris on sunday afternoon.

can you suggest any good paris guide book?

My favorite guidebooks (for ANY destination) are the Lonely Planet series. They make one for France as well as specifically for Paris.

I%26#39;ve used them on 4 continents and 23 countries!

I have the lonely planet guide book for western europe. but they are very brief. so do you suggest that i buy the one for paris? I will be in paris for 3 days.

also do you suggest that seeing paris by hop on hop off bus is a better idea?

please also advise me regarding the website for seeing public transport routes from one address to another in english for paris.

do you think going to disney land with 5 and 6 yrs old kid in christmas is good idea? or will it be too cold and the queues and the rush will not make it worth going.

Thansking you in advance

The guidebook for Paris does provide alot of good detail, but only 3 days? It may not be worth it because you already have ideas on what you%26#39;d like to see, but it can help with smaller questions you may have as you travel throughout the town.

I prefer the Metro system as it is far less complicated, less waiting, and you arrive usually faster at your destination. If you choose the bus, www.ratp.info/touristes/index.php…

I can only offer my opinion on Disney, the kids would love it, it is a magical place. If you decide to go, don%26#39;t let the cold, lines, etc. keep you from there. Only the loss of a full day in the city should do that.
