We are two families (group of 10 in total) hoping to travel to Font Romeu for mid-term ski break (Feb 10 - Feb 16). We have booked flights into Barcelona already.
Can anyone please advise good family orientated accom (teenagers included) and reasonable airport transfers from Barcelona to Font Romeu return. Any quote I%26#39;ve got on-line has been circa €1,200 return for transfers!

Not very convenient, Carcassonne would have been more practical, especially if you are flying with Ryanair.
Are you sure it%26#39;s Barcelona and not Girona?
From Barcelona you%26#39;ll have to take a train to Perpignan, then a bus to Font Romeu. Or you could take the train from Perpignan to Villefranche du Conflent, then the little yellow train to Odeillo-Via , then a taxi to Font-Romeu itself. In both cases, it wll take you a day to get there depending on the time you land in Spain.

Thank you very much for this information. I think we%26#39;ll revert to car hire option, journey time is meant to be circa 3 hrs via cadi tunnel.

Make sure you have chains in the car!

Have a look at Les Angles. It is smaller and less busy, but appears more family friendly than FR.
Once you get out of BCN the journey is quite easy. You won%26#39;t need chains until the last couple of miles, unless you are very lucky with loads of snow.
