We%26#39;ll be in Lourdes, France fr 12/15-18/07. Other than the grotto, museum, bath, attending masses and procession, any suggestion as to where else can we go and what else to do. We%26#39;re in our late 60s but active and healthy - we do not like hiking or walking long distances. Also, what/how is the weather during that period?
We%26#39;ll book w/ Citea Lourdes (Quality Suites) because many recommended it in the forum and has the best price too; hopefully the location too.
Thank you for whatever info/advice you can extend me.

There is also an interesting factory which makes statues .There is a market up at the top of the town on certain days .There are various little museums which you can visit on a little tram -handy if you are tired .This if it runs at that time if year also visits the castle .Be syre to go to the weekly International Mass -usually in the Undergrond Basilica -this is spectacular and wonderful music ..As for weather -it will be mid-winter so could be very cold -bring warm gloves, scarvesand jackets ,There are so many places to see -you will hardly be able to visit them all .Be careful of pickpockets esp down by the grotto .It is lovely down there at night when there are less pilgrims -but I was only down there in Summer .Anne

dancinanne: Thank you very much for your time, truly appreciate whatever info I can gather; evidence is our last trip to Egypt last Sept which is memorable and wonderful. Info/advises read fr the forum help us prepare for the trip. I think we%26#39;ll not be able to attend the International mass because it%26#39;s held on Wed. only if what I remember fr reading the forum but we%26#39;ll check on that for sure.
Thank you very much again.
Take care,
Connie
