How about really good Irish bars in Nice

I usually find when I travel abroad that the place to go for a really good night out is an Irish bar.

Are there any good Irish bars in Nice ? Are they easy to find? Some of the best fun on holidays is to be found in an Irish Bar! Do You agree

There%26#39;s loads of Irish bars in Nice. The main ones are Ma Nolans, MacMahons, Paddy%26#39;s. And to a lesser extent Checkpoint and Waynes. There%26#39;s also an Irish owned and run nightclub on the Promenade des Anglais. Its called Base. Its definitely the best nightclub in Nice.

Try %26quot; A Change is as Good as a Rest %26quot; it%26#39;s a chain, there are lots of them in Nice, in fact throughout France.

The last thing I want to do when travelling abroad is visit an Irish bar and they are usually overpriced on top of everything else. Much better to get down with the natives.......just my opinion.

I completely agree BoxtheFox. I try to forget I%26#39;m English when I am in France, eat breakfast in the scruffiest cafe I can find, use public transport, watch the old blokes playing petanque and generally hang out where the locals do. I always have a brilliant time.

ChicChantal. Couldn%26#39;t agree more. I actually go out of my way to use public transport and find the restaurant in the side street. I am never happier than sitting in the out of the way restaurant with the local builders/tradespeople and enjoying the Menu of the Day. Sure to get good food and great atmosphere.

I agree with the last couple of reviewers! One goes abroad to experience new things.....why then would you want to go to something that is familiar!? There%26#39;s enough Irish bars in Ireland! I personally go out of my way to stay away from irish people when I%26#39;m away! Go experience somewhere typically french! If you don%26#39;t like it, then you can go back to the Irish bar!

It%26#39;s unhappily a few weeks since I was in a French bar but there was plenty of %26#39;ambiance%26#39; last time I was!

More craic than being stuck with a bus load of Irish muckers falling around the place. If I wanna be bumped around the place, thrown up on and have my girlfriend hit on by Seanie from Ballygonebackwards, who now because he has a tan, thinks he%26#39;s Adonis.......I%26#39;ll hit an Irish bar abroad!
