I have narrowed my choices to Le Meurice and Hotel Daniel. We are going April 26-May 3 2008 for our 25th wedding anniversary. Both hotels offer non smoking rooms with twin beds and are around the same price. The Hotel Daniel has been very responsive to my e-mails, where Le Meurice has not, which makes me a little nervous. However, I am wondering if Le Meurice is in a better location for us. We are interested in the Opera Garnier, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. I am very confused and wondered if any experts have any thoughts about the two establishments.

The location doesn%26#39;t matter if you%26#39;re in the single-digit arrondiseements, as everything is easy to reach by the métro, bus, or taxi. The Meurice was recently renovated and looks beautiful; friends who have stayed there liked it quite a lot. It would be very convenient for the Opéra Garnier, the Louvre, and other Right-Bank attractions. There are several good restaurants in all price ranges nearby, and the hotel%26#39;s own restaurant is excellent.
