Hi,
I%26#39;m heading to Paris in a few weeks time for a few nights. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a cool/trendy area to stay.
We are a young couple and enjoy good restaurants and bars. But we would also like to be close to all the attractions. Or if anyone can recommend any cool or funky hotels that don%26#39;t cost a fortune in good areas.
Thanks

Hi,
I%26#39;ve been to Paris in August this year. I recommend the hotel we stayed in: Madeleine Plaza in Place de Madeleine, 5 min walk to Champs Elysee. It%26#39;s a very nice and chic hotel, very nice view (ask for a room at a higher floor). Walking distance to all attractions: Louvre, Champs Elysee, River Seine.
Also at 50 m from the hotel there is a metro stop and at 100 m there is a Tourist Bus(open bus for tours of Paris) stop.
Enjoy!

Tan, you should tell us more about your price range; what do you mean with %26quot;hotels that don%26#39;t cost a fortune%26quot; ?
Here are 3 trendy hotels in young and trendy neighborhoods :
- Kube, 1-5, passage Ruelle 75018 Paris, in the trendy multicultural 18è arrondissement

- Hotel Amour 8 rue Navarin 75 009 Paris in the trendy %26quot;south of Pigalle district%26quot;, close to the rue des Martyrs and rue des Abbesses

- Hotel du Petit Moulin 29/31 rue du Poitou, 75003 PARIS, in the ever trendy Marais, entirely redesigned by Christian Lacroix:

- An other trendy area is the Bastille / Charonne area, loads of good bars and restaurants, but I can%26#39;t think of a good hotel there. May be this one, that is not a trendy hotel, but is in a trendy area :
