Moulin Rouge?

I%26#39;m visiting Paris (have been before) for 2 weeks from late Dec/Jan with my 3 teenage children. I want to take them to a show such as the Lido/Moulin Rouge etc. Which currently - or others - has the best reputation and would be the best for older teenagers? Thanks!

I didn%26#39;t go to the Moulin Rouge but talked to several different people that did and all came back with it being a touristy thing to do and not a lot of fun.

I%26#39;ve seen the Moulin Rouge show and found it to be surprisngly good and very much like a variety show featuring singing, dancing, and comedy routines. There was a mixed crowd when I went both old and young and they all seemed to be having fun.

Thanks for the posts! Yes, I%26#39;m aware that it%26#39;s %26#39;touristy%26#39; and it%26#39;d typically avoid it for that reason, but thought it would be fun and memorable for the teenagers - esp if it%26#39;s glitzy and slick :-)

I went to a cabaret (Paradis Latin) when I was about 15 or 16 (I%26#39;m a girl) and my younger brother was 13 or 14. It was the highlight of the Paris trip for us. :) Have fun!

That sounds perfect - thank you! I%26#39;ve checked out the web-site and will book. Great recommendation!

I have to laugh because we are all always trying to stay away from %26quot;touristy%26quot; things...aren%26#39;t we all tourists?? Gotta do the touristy things once to say it%26#39;s been done, otherwise no one would ever visit the Eiffel Tower. But believe me, I get it.

My real contribution is that kids/teenagers tend to love touristy, glitzy, rowdy, and shows like these are such fun. The Lido is in a great location where you can wander up/down the Champs Elysees after the show. At the same time, the Moulin Rouge is an institution and might seem a little %26quot;racier%26quot; (more appealing to a teen) because of its location. I think either place would be good and the MR might cost less.

Hi FrequentFlyer

Took our 3 teenage kids (18,16,and 12) to Moulin Rouge last year and it was fabulous, one of our highlights.

Booked months before, went early, did the photos outside, then down the road to Wepplers for dinner. Back early for the 9pm show, and we got great seats.

Sure you%26#39;ll love the variety show and of course the can-can etc.

better try Bobino with the dinner ...
