Villa L'Aimee

Has anybody any information about the Villa L%26#39;Aimee in Nice. My husband and I have been to Nice a few times but are going with another couple (retired) and this looked like a great place to stay. Please let me know

It%26#39;s seems to be a beautiful place. Location is not fabulous but with public transportation it won%26#39;t be a problem.

It seems pricy though. You can have a better location for this price.

Why not going to the West End Hotel (promenade), the Holiday Inn or the Windsor ?

Thanks for replying. We will have a rental car and love to go out for day trips to Grasse, Menton, Monaco, Eze, Haut de Cagne, etc. so location I thought was okay for that - are you saying where this is located is not a nice neighborhood? I thought it was near the Matisse museum no? Please let me know.

The Matisse Museum is in Cimiez. 3 km from your villa so we can say it%26#39;s close. But Cimiez is not known to be a perfect base for tourism (even if Cimiez is a must see place) : it%26#39;s at 15 to 20 min bus from turistic attractions.

I think you can have a better location for this price or for less.

When will you come ? Using a car in Nice is not a good idea. Public transportation is much better. No way to park in the city, traffic jams, crazy drivers, gaz price, etc.

Why not spending a few days in Nice and then rent a car to reach you other destinations ?

I also am looking at the Villa L%26#39;Aimee and I think it looks lovely. My concern is that they require payment in cash- not credit card. They also might require deposit in cash. On Travel Library website, where I first found the listing for Villa L%26#39;Aimee, they warn to be aware of owners that won%26#39;t accept credit card. When I wrote the owner about this, he hasn%26#39;t answered me. (He sent me many replies to my other questions.) Do you have any thoughts on this?

I%26quot;m actually purposefully looking for a place to stay that is NOT in Nice city center because of the traffic and noise. I%26#39;ve found 2 other villas or bed and breakfasts 10 minutes away from Nice that appear nice for 95E-110 E. If you want their names/websites, let me know.
