Going To paris for the first time (mid january 2008)

Would like to know how is the wheather, I know it will be in the 0- 10 C, but I don%26#39;t know if rains, and how bad... How many hours of daylight in January.

Sorry my english is bad, I would like to be more specific with my questions. GRACIAS... Antonio

Normally when it rains it means all day is cloudy and the rain will be 4-5 hours but rarely extremely heavily (not like in the tropics). Of course you can have days with on again off again showers too.

In January, if you come for a week you are likely to have 1 or 2 days of rain (maybe snow, but the snow is unlikely to be heavy or stay around in the city as the cars etc keep the temparature a bit higher than in the countryside).

The sun will rise around 8:00 am and set around 5:00 - it is possible to not see the sun at all as it is likely to be cloudy. You will be lucky to have a completely sunny day.

Thank you! this really helps because if it rains I could go to the Galeries, or a day long to the Musee du Louvre.
