Would appreciate any info re when the organ concerts are held. It is so beautiful and intimate, would like to listen to concert. Going to Paris last week in December.

I searched the sites. The pictures are incredible. But I cannot find the regular organ concerts, or if there is one. Would like to plan visit to area to coincide with organ concert if possible. Has anyone been to one, and is it a set day and time?

You may have to go to the church to see if there are bulletins posted with any concerts for that week...
Also, you can periodically check with the %26quot;Spectacles%26quot; section of FNAC.com to see if there is anything at St Etienne du Mont.
Lastly, I suppose one could always attend a mass to experience some organ music.

Dear Chrismom,
St. Etienne du Mont is my favorite church in Paris. It is indescribably lovely. The rood screen is made from carved stone, looking more like lace than marble. Several years ago I stumbled onto an organ concert given one evening, midweek. Wow, the accoustics are wonderful, and the music being played was delightfully dramatic. I, too, would suggesting going to the chuch and looking for an announcement there.

yes, I think I will have to do that. If I get in to see the interior, that would be enough, and if I can fit in the rogan concert, then it will be a bonus. Just hoping to plan ahead as we are trying to decide on day trip and a few dinner options.
