Self catering options in or near Bayeux?

Hello, glad to see this is an active forum!

Does anybody have recommendations for a self-catering farmhouse or cottage in or near Bayeux?

We would be 4 adults, with a 2.5 year old. We%26#39;d like to be able to come back to our place and prepare our meals %26quot;at home%26quot; at the end of a day of sightseeing.

We can only stay 4 nights, we%26#39;re tentatively planning on the 22, 23, 24, and 25 of May.

Thanks,

John C

Gites de France is probably the best source for what you want but here is a complete gite list:

Can I ask you a few more direct questions of where exactly you want to be? will you be sightseeing every day, do you require a beach close by, a garden with the gite, close to town, countryside ? its a very vast country and if you want to be looking at WWII museums and cemeteries throw in a bit of hypermarket shopping you dont want to be stuck 30 miles inland so that every day becomes a marathon to be up early to see something in your 4 days.

I have many friends that stay in and around the area of Bayeux sector through to Isigny and am sure there is something that would suit your group from Gites de France (Brittany Ferries) friends say a package works out much better than booking individual accommodation.

Hope I can help point you in the right direction
