Quai Aux Fleurs apartment in Paris

Although a new poster, I have been lurking on this forum for awhile reading about a variety of apartment experiences, both bad and good. One thing recommended is always insist on paying for an apartment by credit card. I have found an apartment on Quai Aux Fleurs that I am interested in but the rental manager, Elka Halliger, for Paradise Apartments refuses to accept a credit card payment and insists on either an American check or PayPal. Does anybody have any experience with this company? We need to make a decision soon.

You can use your credit card to pay with paypal. Close enough.

Be aware that there are no markets there and you will need to travel to get your groceries for your apartment.

It%26#39;s true that there won%26#39;t be markets on Ile de la Cite, but there is a convenience store on Ile St Louis (just over the bridge behind Notre Dame), as well as boulangeries, cheese shops, a Nicolas wine store, boucherie, produce store, etc., etc., so it would be relatively easy to get the basics.

Thanks for the reassurance with using a credit card with PayPal. I really think she means well and doesn%26#39;t have any way to process a credit card.

We probably won%26#39;t be getting a lot of groceries but if we do I have two older sons to carry them.

My favorite way to %26quot;cook dinner%26quot; when we have an apartment is to go to the food halls at Bon Marche and/or Galeries Lafayette and get the fabulous prepared food to take back to the apartment (picking up a bottle of wine, some pastries, some cheese, etc., at some point along the way). It%26#39;s a fun and easy way to do %26quot;dinner in%26quot; (or lunch).
