Hi, everyone! My husband and I will be travelling to Paris in February; the trip is an anniversary trip to each other.
We%26#39;ve learned so much here at TA, and would like the community%26#39;s advice:
Should we go to Moulin Rouge or Crazy Horse? And would it be worth it to eat dinner at either one? Or just the show?
Thanks!

While I have been to Paris a few times I have never been to either, I have read that it is over priced and caters to the tourist, which depending upon your view point may be a good thing. I would go to the top of this page and under search type in the names of each establishment. You will obtain comments from members.

Haven%26#39;t been but I believe Crazy Horse has much more nudity, full-on nude %26#39;dancers%26#39;, if that makes any difference. I also do not think it has the %26#39;variety show%26#39; that MR and others have - I think it is only the exotic dancers and special lighting (no comedy, jugglers, etc).

neither one, nor the other ... try www.bobino.fr and enjoy a first class dinner ....and a great show ....

Moulin Rouge is more %26quot;paris stereotype%26quot; with can-can etc.
I liked Crazy horse which is more like a Vegas show. There is a bit of comedy, magic etc. at Crazy Horse as well. At least there was in the show I saw.
Both cater to tourists and businessmen mostly and both are expensive but great fun. Would eat elsewhere however. I do not remember seeing food at Crazy Horse at time I went (?).

You might find the Moulin Rouge a little sleazy, the area, not the show. Why not see the Folies Bergere on the Champs Elysee, much classier and the same genre. I%26#39;ve worked with performers that have worked in both shows and am familiar with both.

I think if you buy the %26#39;dinner + show%26#39; for Crazy Horse, you have the dinner at Chez Francis, nearby.

I have some local friends who have been to all the cabarets and they declare that the Lido is by far, the nicest and most entertaining. They%26#39;d tell you to go there. Oh, and eat first.

I have plans to go to see a show, I%26#39;m taking my mother for her bday to Paris and thought to go to MR, but if there are other attactions apropiate for a 75 Y.O lady (even though my mom is quite liberal) let us know. Thank you

Thanks for all of the replies! I%26#39;m not sure what we%26#39;ll do just yet, but you all have given us plenty to research.
Have a good day!
