Hotel Duquesne-Eiffel

Has anyone ever used this hotel? Any feedback will be most appreciated. How is the location?

The reviews on the hotel here are pretty accurate. We stayed here in April this year and chose it based on the reviews on tripadvisor. You can also do a search in this forum and find some more feedback.

Great hotel...very pleasant staff...hotel is well-maintained...rooms are not huge but a decent size...well priced for Paris...some rooms have very good views of the tower as well as a small (but not very private) balcony.

The location is nice. It%26#39;s in more of a residential area and we felt pretty safe walking around at any hour. The streets around the hotel are bigger, but not so busy at night. We didn%26#39;t hear any street noise. It%26#39;s about a 20-25 minute walk to the tower (if my memory is correct after all that wine). The only downside of staying in a more residential area is that there aren%26#39;t a lot of restaurants around the hotel that are open for dinner or a late meal. At least, we couldn%26#39;t find any but didn%26#39;t spend too much effort looking for one. But it is very close to a couple of metro lines.

Thank s for your reply. Do you feel that being in a residential area is a drawback? Did you still feel it was easily accessible to the sights of Paris?

Hi

This is a very nice residential location. You are close to the Eiffel Tower as well as the Church of the Dome and Invalides. The Rodin museum is nearby....

Walking towards metro Ecole Militaire you will find many restaurants.

Just a block from metro Ecole Militaire is Rue Cler a nice market street with shops, bakeries, cheese shops and produce stands.

Merci beaucoup!!!!!My husband and I went to check out the logistics of a 2 week group trip for March 2008. Our travel agent selected this hotel for the group. I was in Paris for only one afternoon in January and did not like the hotel we stayed in.Did not have time to seek out other hotels. Consequently, it was changed to the Duquesne after we returned home. I feel much better about our choice. Thank you again!

My wife and I leave for Paris Dec 14 and we have booked a room with a balcony and a view of the Eiffel Tower for our stay at the Hotel Duquesne-Eiffel. We looked it up on Google Earth with the transportation, markets, and cafe options on and there seems to be many of all three within easy walking distance. We were in Paris in March for the first time, but for only a day, but walking is easy. We walked the length of the Champs de Elysses from the Louvre to the Arc then took a cab to the Eiffel tower. We plan to use the metro this time but we can easily walk to Invalides, the Seine, rue Cler markets, and the Eiffel tower from the hotel.

We have emailed several times to the hotel and have quickly received helpful answers to our questions. If you will email me after Jan 1st -- we return on 12/28 -- I can fill you in on the hotel and the location. We had done a lot of research and actually booked with two other hotels (no charge unless you don%26#39;t cancel the week before your arrival) but liked Duquesne-Eiffel%26#39;s helpfulness, location, and moderate pricing. We could have stayed cheaper but I really wanted to have a view of the Eiffel Tower from the room.

As stated above, I agree that it is within easy walking distance of a few attractions and very close to a couple of metro stations. The location was very good and I would recommend the hotel to friends. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll enjoy it.

Thank you, also. This is so encouraging!
