We will be arriving via Eurostar on a Monday around 12:30, and leaving that Wednesday in the morning. I imagine by the time we get to our hotel (Prince de Galles) and check in, we%26#39;ll be ready to start seeing things around 2 on Monday.
This is how we are planning on spending our time - please let me know if this is a good use of our short time there or if we should reconsider.
Monday 2 p.m. - whenever - The Louvre (closed Tuesday, so it%26#39;s our only chance)
Maybe try and see one other %26quot;sight%26quot; before finding a bistro for dinner
Tuesday - L%26#39;Open bus tour - I know we won%26#39;t get to spend much time at any one place but this way we%26#39;ll get to see a lot and then when we come back in the future, we%26#39;ll know where we want to focus our time.
Recommendations for decently priced dinner places would be appreciated - we both eat pretty much anything. I am pregnant so sadly have to avoid all the great wine I was looking forward to drinking, but I am sure my husband will happily pick up the slack for me.
And is it worth taking a short Seine cruise? We don%26#39;t want to drop $200+ per person on a dinner cruise but what about a one hour trip?
Is it worth getting advanced tickets to the Louvre? I could be wrong but just can%26#39;t imagine long lines at 2 p.m. on a random Monday in December. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Finally - what%26#39;s the best way to get to CDG on Wednesday from our hotel? I suspect its via taxi, if so how much is that going to cost?
Thanks in advance for your help. I grew up outside of London and shockingly, this is my first trip to Paris. I can%26#39;t wait!

I have a feeling I%26#39;m going to take some information off of your post. I%26#39;m in a similar situation, arriving a random Monday afternoon, staying through Thursday mid-morning and I would LOVE to make the most out of my stay.
Have a great time!

Yes you can catch metro at Georges V on Champs Elysees straight to Palais Royal- Musee du Louvre and exit there (it is line 1).
From there you will be at metro entrance level. No need to buy tickets in advance. There are vending machines and also live people selling tickets.
If you walk away Champs on Avenue Georges V you will arrive at Alma Marceau (turn right as you leave your hotel). Chez Francis is a good Brasserie there with views of the Tower (Metro Alma Marceau).
It is also a good location to catch a cruise boat (do not eat on one, just take the ride).
From your hotel to CDG you can order a taxi in advance or walk up Champs Elysees to Air France airport bus stop. Less than 10 minutes walk if you can roll your suitcase.

I do think that the bus tour is a good way to see as many tourist sites as possible in such a short time. You will have to plan a return trip when you can try some of the wonderful wines. If budget is a concern, the Air France bus from the Arc de Triomphe is a very good option. I think it%26#39;s about 13 euros one way. If not, a taxi should run about 30-50 euros each way and is door to door. Have fun!
