Paris in Winter

Similar to others we are going to Paris in Dec, but are in our 50%26#39;s. The question is the same what are 50 year old women wearing in Paris in December? Thanks

Hi, We travel to Paris during the wintertime and I am in my 50%26#39;s. I wear business casual. Warm waterproof coat (I wear a London Fog with a zip out liner). Wool slacks or the velvety cords you can find in Lands End. I layer with twinsets. Wear a nice scarf with everything. Wear a warm scarf, hat and gloves.

Have fun in paris.

okay but can I get away with dark blue jeans beautiful top and still look chic and appropriate. ALso do I need snow boots, or will shoes be enough, and I guess leae the fur coat at home?

I wear shoes on the plane and take a pair of leather boots with me. No need for snow boots. I was amazed at the number of women I saw wearing fur coats. I%26#39;m from California so we rarely see fur here.

I guess if you can pack it take it. I don%26#39;t know how well it holds up in the rain. I think more people are wearing jeans in Paris than they used to, so as long as you are not wearing white Nikis with them you should be fine. I find jeans don%26#39;t keep me warm enough and they take forever to dry when they get wet. In the past Parisian women over the age of 30 did not walk around in jeans. That may be changing though. Because it is often rainy and windy I have given up hope for a good hair day in paris. LOL. A cute hat comes in handy. My make-up ends up sliding off my face some days. I did notice that the Parisian women tend to wear less makeup than we do. Which is odd since you see cosmetic stores all over the place.
