We are compemplating flying out of BVA into Girona, spending a day in Girona and then to Barcelona. Obviously, it is considerably cheaper flying out of/into these airports and fortunetely the times of these flights are not horribly inconvenient. It appears as if the shuttle to BVA is fairly easy and inexpensive. 2 questions: Is the transit time on the shuttle @1.5 hrs and is it worth it? Thanks!

I%26#39;m not sure I understand your question. What do you mean by %26quot;is it worth it%26quot;? As opposed to a cab?
The airport website says the shuttle takes one hour and fifteen minutes. It costs 13 Euros. I would advise you to take advantage of the shuttle service.

I meant is all the hassle when dealing with budget airlines worth it.

The distance from the PORTE MAILLOY pick-up point for the BVA Shuttle to BVA is approx 70 km...approx. 70 minutes.
As for whether flying a LCC from BVA onward is %26#39;..worth it..%26#39;...I suppose that pretty much depends on the Ryan Air fare you were able to get relat
Your other PARIS--to-GIRONA air alternative is TRANSAVIA-- http://www.transavia.com/en --whic offers limited budget service PARIS-Orly(ORY) to GIRONA(GRO). If the schedule and fare fit...ORLY is the closest airport to Paris...and easily accessible via several public transportation options in 30-50 mins.

I don%26#39;t think budget airlines are any more hassle than other carriers, so long as you understand how they work - and they generally work very well. Just make sure you read the small print (it will be applied, particularly by Ryanair) - you will get what you pay for, no more, no less. Most of the hassle is airport security and that happens everywhere.

It looks like the Ryanair flight is more than half the cost of any other flights. We%26#39;re going to give it a try. Thanks for the help.
|||
That%26#39;s odd...if you go out a week or so from today, TRANSAVIA is showing advance web fares of 1 € (plus taxes %26amp; fees) the GIRONA(GRO) from PARIS-Orly(ORY).

Perhaps I am doing something wrong. On the day I need to fly out (12/21) transavia is 78 Euro and the Ryanair flight is 22 Euro. Am I missing something?
