Courchevel

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how far is Courchevel 1650 from Courchevel 1850? Never been there and I want to know if I stay in Courchevel 1650 would it be possible to walk to Courchevel 1850? Do they have lifts running all day long or not?

Thanks

There is a free navette (bus) that runs between 1650 and 1850 or else just ski over.

All resorts in Courchevel are interconnected by a free transfer bus - can get busy at peak times thou - runs continuously until approx. 12 midnight.

Walking - unless your very keen on exercise the walk is not an option.

Skiing - after the lifts close you cannot get back from 1850. Unless they have upgraded the chair lift between 1850 %26amp; 15:00 (Prameruel) is one of the oldest in their system - timber slats %26amp; capable of chopping you of at the knees if you are not paying attention!

Suggest 1550, its immediately below 1850 - connected by a challenging blue - especially at the end of the day. The is a free bubble that goes from 1850 - 15:50 - its stops @ 19:00 or 19:30 - after that its the bus or the toboggan run!

Hope this helps.

Brgds, Colin
