Hi, train travellers,
Husband and I need to get to Bordeaux on May 17 next year to catch a flight at 1625 Hours. We intend to take the 0724 Hours train from Perpignan to Narbonne (getting there at 0810 Hours) and then take the connecting train (0840 Hours) to Bordeaux, arriving at 1208 Hours. My questions are: Are taxis available so early in the morning at Canet en Roussillion to enable us to get to Perpignan railway station to catch the 0724 train? Is the time interval of 30 mins sufficient to get off one train and board the connecting one at Narbonne? Is the train station very far from the airport in Bordeaux? What would be the cost of a taxi from the station to the airport in Bordeaux?
Look forward to your advice.

I%26#39;m sure you will get more detailed responses to your message soon, but let me put in my two cents. There are shuttle buses from ythe train station to the airport, I believe every 30 minutes. You might check the bordeaux tourist office website for info (www.boreaux-tourisme.com).
Having worked in the airline industry for many years may I make a suggestion? Don%26#39;t time yourself so closely to get to Bordeaux and make a flight. S--- happens. If possible, arrive the day before, take some time to look around the city, and catch your flight with no stress. When I used to work as a flight attendant, people used to be flying to Miami to take Caribbean cruises, with flights arriving in Miami just hours before the ship left port. They%26#39;d be so upset if weather or a mechanical problem delayed their flight into Miami, screaming at us about how they were going to miss their cruise. My first question was always %26quot;Why did you book the last possible flight%26quot;?
My advice is always to take the choice that offers the least chance of stress or delay.
Hope you have a good trip.

Hi, dianeoneil,
Thanks for your suggestion about the overnight stay in Bordeaux. I%26#39;ll probably go with that idea rather than worry about missing a connection.
