Am having hard time trying to book reservations for West Side Story at Le Chatelet for first part of December. Can%26#39;t seem to get into their site so have emailed them in my very rudimentary French to ask what is the difficulty. Anyone had experience with the Chatelet? I know, why would one go to Paris to see West Side
story? This is the fiftieth anniversary of the work and haven%26#39;t ever seen it on stage.

if it still doesn%26#39;t work, try a site like Fnac.fr :

Thank you Parasian. Will either make reservations now or attempt to get tickets when we arrive in Paris. Another question, We have tickets for the ballet at Palais Garnier. Is there a dress code, i.e. coat and tie?

No dress code. Some people do dress up a little bit however.
For Theatre du Chatelet, I would not wait. It fills out quickly.

There is no dress coat for the Opera Garnier. However, it is such a magnificent building and such a special occasion to go there that I think it is fun to dress up, at least a little. Most women do wear skirts or dresses and men wear suits. Enjoy! I think the Opera Garnier must be one of the most beautiful buildings in the world--both outside and inside.

Merci beaucoup mes amis, La P et ILWP. J%26#39;aime Paris aussi. Thanks for the tip on the dress code. We will dress up with coat, tie, and I just bought a nice sweater for underneath the jacket. My wife has less trouble than me because she has an extensive wardrobe, while I have some hand-me-down from the 70%26#39;s. Most of which are slightly undersized now. Imagine a fat guy from Charles Dickens with clothes way to small. C%26#39;est moi.
Have just found out West Side Story tickets are hard to come by and are very expensive. I can get two seats, not together, for 50 euros each. Seems very expensive think I would rather go to the Musee de Bier for the night. I believe that is the correct name. It is near the Marshall Ney statue about 1 km from La Tour de Montparnasse. Is that correct?
