New Years Eve

Hi all,

My husband and I are going to Paris for NYE and thinking of going to the Moulin Rouge show on the 31st Dec, we can%26#39;t decide if we should bring in 2008 like that or bring it in on the streets- Champs Elysees looking at the fireworks.

Any advice welcome.

You do realize that%26#39;s at MIDNIGHT!?! Get in bed by 10:30pm at the latest and get a good night%26#39;s sleep.

Oh my God, just kidding. If it were me, I would be singing in the streets, baby!

My husband and I, and 3 other couples will also be in Paris for NYE and were wondering the same thing! Please - does anyone have any other suggestions for a memorable NYE without spending $400 a person for dinner and a show?

My girlfriend and I will also be there for New Years. I spoke to a friend who has been living in Paris for 8 years, and he said the clubs aren%26#39;t worth the money. The service is horrible with all the people packed in like sardines. He said that ALOT of people congregate around the eifel tower, and that the fireworks that go off are amazing. I had been planning for a new years kiss under the tower, and I thought it was semi origional...I guess not, but I know I won%26#39;t be botteled up in a club or bar.

I suggest making reservations at a nice restaurant and spending the eve that way. If there are fireworks this year it%26#39;s a nice thing to experience although I%26#39;d avoid the Champs Elysees.
