Apartment on Gay Lussac?

My DH and I, and another couple are considering a 2 bed/2bath apartment on Gay Lussac near the Luxembourg Garden.

Has anyone stayed there? Can anyone give me advice about the neighborhood?

About two years ago I stayed at a hotel on Gay Lussac for 16 days with a group of high school students.

I really liked the neighborhood and if I didn%26#39;t have a group of teenagers in tow I probably would have liked it more. It is very close to the Luxembourg RER stop, but a little bit of walk to the nearest metro stop. There are quite a few neat places to eat and drink if you head behind the Pantheon.

I have stayed in that area at least 4 times and I love it!

Lots to do and see and to eat and the parc is so close!

The RER B is not far and the bus runs right down that street!

I love the location.
