we (a family of 3=8people) are planning a trip to lourde in march 08 from cardiff,uk.can anyone pls help us advising the best way air or train,any direct flights from cardiff or london?pls also advis abt hotel accomadation or if any one know abt accomodation provided by nun sisters from lourde santurary.

have a look at residence le mariale this is close to the sanctuary and fairly reasonable price also look at victoria gardens these are self catering accomodation

I would not advise travelling from Cardiff to Lourdes by train, as it would prove a long and tiring journey. Most convenient way would be to fly from Cardiff to Paris Charles de Gaull then take the regular shuttle bus to Orly Airport for a flight to Lourdes. (see previous postings on this).
Be aware that 2008 is the centenial anniversary of the apparitions and all accommodation is likely to be at a premium, so you should make your arrangements as early as possible

Ryanair are starting flights from Bristol to Pau. You can then get a taxi or train to Lourdes.
