Hello all,
I am going to Paris soon, but will be taking my girlfriend along. She does not understand French apart from very simple things like asking for an ice-cream. I on the otherhand am nearly fluent. I would like to take her to Le Roi Lion while we are in Paris, but I have heard it is in French, do you think this would really matter, as I think it%26#39;s more of a visual musical? Also, does anyone know if the West Side Story showing at Chatelet - theatre musical de Paris would also be in French?
Thanks

Hi there!
I watched a review for Le Roi Lion on euronews, my french is somewhere between yours, ok-ish lol, but I struggled to understand the clip I saw on tv, and the costumes etc are not all the, dont expect the london west end or broadway standard, it didn%26#39;t look that great.
I dont know about westside story (not a great culture for the musical theatre as in uk/us)
We have decided to try something different and got o see the nutcracker ballet at the opera bastille (no language problems) and cost about £30 each - so not too expensive, we booked direct (the tickets came quickly, a few days by post) this is the site:
operadeparis.fr/Saison-2007-2008/…
Not sure when you are there, but hope this helps, have a great time whatever you end up doing!!
