Cheapest way from Lyon/St etienne to Parisand Back

Dear Sticky,or the local experts

We are two persons looking for a weekend trip from StEtienne/Lyon to Paris and back .

Itnerarry is Sat 24th nov stay at Paris sunday 25th back to St/Etienne can you suggest ,Cheapest way from Lyon/St etienne to Parisand Back,we can travel by bus or anyother reasonable option if it is there .Frday 23rd also we can travel.We want to stay at Paris for sat whole day and night and want to be back to St/Etienne latest by 8.30 night on sunday.So that we can take the bus back from St Etienne to Firminy.

There are a few direct TGV Saint-Etienne/Paris, that is the best way to travel. For example on sat 24th, departure from Saint Etienne at 9:10am, arrival at 11:55am in Paris.

For your way back from Paris, you should take a TGV that stops in Lyon and then take a train to Firminy.

Driving or getting by bus will be a very long trip. Michelin gives 5h10 for 483km.
