Where does the 210 bus stop in cannes?

Hi, after reading lots of the forums re travel from Nice airport to Cannes I think we have decided to travel by bus on the 210 service. Does anyone know where this bus stops in Cannes? We are staying at the 3-14 hotel on Rue Francois Einesy, is that walkable from the bus stop with suitcase etc?

Many thanks....

The 210 stops in a bay by the main bus station (Gare Routiere) by the old port on the seafront.

It is about 12 to 15 minutes walk to the Hotel 3 14 . Keep the sea on your right and walk along the harbour past the Palais des Congres and onto the Croissette.

Rue Francois Einesy is a small left hand turn ,one street beyond the corner where the Hilton Hotel is (large glass building, opposite the beach). You will see a purple sign for the hotel on the left hand side as you turn into rue Einesy.

On the way back to Nice airport, the one way system means that the bus top by the Gray d%26#39;Albion building on rue des Serbes is closer ( 7 minutes walk).

P.S If you%26#39;re planning to use the 210 both ways,it%26#39;s cheaper to buy a return ticket at Nice airport .

Hope this helps

SOOOZ, thanks for your kind help.

Is it an easy walk or would be benefit from getting a taxi from the bus station, do you have any idea how much that could be, we are two people with 2 small cases?

Also re the Hotel D%26#39;Albion stop, is it possible to get off there when we arrive, or it just on the return trip?

Am I right in thinking the bus is better than the train because the train station is not next to the airport and hard to find???

Am i also right in reckoning a taxi from Nice airport will be about 80 euros?

Any feedback on the hotel either? Have looked at reviews but seems to be a mixed bag. We are on a girlie weekend and want a bit of luxury in a boutique type hotel.

Sorry for all the questions but you seem to know your stuff!!!!!!!!

If you are reasonably fit it is a nice pretty easy walk from the bus station. There is a taxi rank next to the bus station, but afraid I don%26#39;t know the fare.

There is a ELo bus which runs along the Croisette from the bus station which you could catch too - think the fare%26#39;s about 0.6 euros

We always walk though

Yes you could stay on the bus at the bus station and wait for it to reload, then get off at the next stop by the Gray d%26#39;Albion, but you could have walked to the 314 in that time

There are a few variables that need to be factored into any answer on that one!

If the roads are busy and the trains aren%26#39;t on strike, the train is the best option. The rail station is also more central than the bus station in Cannes

If you want to get to Cannes in the most straightforward way, the Ligne 210 is probably the best but most expensive public transport option. If your accommodation isn%26#39;t very close to the old port you may have a long walk or need to take a bus or taxi from the bus station

If the roads aren%26#39;t busy, it%26#39;s out of season , you%26#39;re not in a particular hurry and you want to save money the Ligne 200 bus direct from terminal 1 at the airport can be a good choice.

The time and day of the week may severely limit your choices too

The 210 bus stops outside both airport terminals and is direct.

The train station is a 10 minute walk from terminal 1 at the airport. It isn%26#39;t that hard to find if you print out the map and directions from the airport website

niceaeroport.fr/acces_stationnement_en/train…

The rail station in Cannes is about 7 minutes from the 3 14 hotel.

The rail fare is less than half that of the 210 bus.

Depending on what time of year and day you are travelling there is also the 200 bus which leaves from terminal 1 at the airport and travels along the coast . It is much slower and cheaper still and stops at the Pont des Gabres which is very close to the Hotel 3 14, ( 3 minutes) but wouldn%26#39;t advise trying to get off there without a streetmap of Cannes to hand.

%26quot;Am i also right in reckoning a taxi from Nice airport will be about 80 euros?%26quot;

Depends on the time of day and how much luggage you have.

After 7pm , the fare is likely to be round that

Any feedback on the hotel either? Have looked at reviews but seems to be a mixed bag. We are on a girlie weekend and want a bit of luxury in a boutique type hotel.

Sorry we have never stayed at the 3 14 , but like you have read the very mixed reviews. Can say that it is in a very good area, handy for the beach, and the bars and restaurants round rue Freres Pradignac, the rue d%26#39;Antibes etc. You could also look at the Hotel Victoria, Fouquets Hotel, or the Canberra which are in the same locale.

Hope this helps- let me know if you have more questions!

For me, staying at the Intercontinental Hotel 58 La crosette, should I too take the 210 bus or would the 200 bus stop closer to my hotel. (I know I should be able to afford a taxi if I am staying at htis hotel, but I just cannot bring myself to spend 80 EUR when the bus is so less expensive. If I take the 200 bus where should I get off. I also will have one large suitcase on wheels.

Thanks

RJK,

The 200 bus stops closer to the Carlton ICH if you get off at the Pont des Gabres stop- less than a 5 minute walk with a wheeled case.

Next sunday there shouldn%26#39;t be too much traffic , so the journey should be fairly quick and it%26#39;s a real bargain at only 1.3 euros. The bus goes from Terminal 1 at the airport , quai 0 just outside the arrivals door .

Ask the driver to let you know when the Pont des Gabres stop is- it%26#39;s after Californie and Cirrode if you start to look out once you get into the outskirts of Cannes.

Walk in the same direction as the bus was travelling to the roundabout with a fountain on it ahead.

Cross over the roundabout/ dual carriageway using the zebra crossing to your right into the rue d%26#39;Antibes- there%26#39;s a champagne bar/shop on the right hand corner and a handrail. Walk down the rue d%26#39;Antibes and take the 3rd turn on the left into rue Canada ~30 metres- there%26#39;s a bath shop on corner .You can see the back of the Carlton from here . When you reach the sea turn right for the hotel%26#39;s main entrance.

On the way back to the airport, it%26#39;s easiest to catch either the 200 or the 210 from the stop on the rue des Serbes .

Trains are also running again now (less than 5 euros )

Hope this helps
