Travel from Gare du Nord to Rue Chevert - Paris 75007

How easy is it to get from the two destinations, in light of the strikes, will I have to walk or can I use public transport

In theory bus 42 will take you from GDN to Eiffel Tower from where you%26#39;d have a 5-10 minute walk. It%26#39;s a great ride as it takes you past a lot of %26#39;the sights%26#39;. That%26#39;s the easiest but not the quickest. Metro will be quicker but requires one change at Strasbourg St Denis.

In practice - public transport is suffering badly from strike action and varies day to day. I think about 50% of buses are running now but there%26#39;s no way of knowing exactly.

Let%26#39;s hope that Wednesday%26#39;s talks ease the situation.

You don%26#39;t want to walk with luggage from GdN to rue Chevert, if that%26#39;s your question... You can get a taxi, usually around 10-15euro.

It is too far to walk, but if you are patient, you will get a taxi, even wiith the strike. If you have not been there before, rue Chevert is a small street that can be difficult to find, so it will be helpful to have a map to show the taxi driver (depending on your proficiency in French).

Thanks for your help

Have woken this morning, read more threads and really not sure what to do, we will lose £250 approx if we cancel, however we don%26#39;t mind walking and only have hand luggage, can anyone give any advice on what to do in light of the strikes and is the metro working now
