Myself and my family are going skiing over the New year but cannot decide on America/Canada. We have skiied in France and are intermediate level. Would love somewhere with character, great skiing and weather - a bit worried about the cold of canada!

Can%26#39;t really work out what your question is, or why you have posted this on the France forum??????????????????????
|||
As usaul no one seems to realize Canada is a large country with more weather then %26quot;igloo only october to may%26quot;.
Just to set the record straight, where I live on the west coast we have a ski hill within a three hour drive that has an average of over 200 cms of lovely snow on the ground regularily , from Dec. to April, and temps rarely dip below -5 or -6 Celisuis. .. ( Mt Washington )
British Columbia has many lovely ski hills, and of course we have Whistler , you know where the Olimpics will be in 2010, and our weather is not fridgid.
The hills in the east I am not familiar with, although I believe they are a bit smaller and colder.
Anyways, come to western Canada, your money is worth tons here, we have GOOD beer( sorry, neighbors to the south do not! LOL) and tons of powder.
Last year we were skiing at Christmas , and had our french exchange student with us, she was a bit down that she couldn%26#39;t go home for Christmas, ,one reason being that her and her family alwaysspent Xmas in the Alps skiing for the holiday every year, BUT, not last year, they didn%26#39;t have any snow!!!! So she cheered up when we arrived to our chalet to enjoy the meters of powder!!

|||
Essexwanderer is not the only person who can%26#39;t work out what your question is, and why you have posted it twice in French forums.
|||
What is your question(s)? And what is your problem??
I would have tried to help, as I have skiid plenty in Europe and the US, but I dont%26#39; think I will bother now.
|||
I would recommend that you visit Kyrgyz%26#39;s ski resorts.

If you like snowboarding, extreme skiing it is the best place where to go:
