3 months stay

I am looking for good budget self catering accomodation

(2 bedrooms). Our intention is to see france from a central point (such as poitiers) on days out rather that pack / unpack all through the holiday. We will have our car so no problem with transport -exept for the traffic jams. Perhaps you know of a more suitable base. Our planned trip will hopefully commence at the end of Feb 2008. The problem I have encountered so far is that nobody wants to let on a monthly basis beyond March. The only offers have been well over priced to compensate for the April and May inclussion. Any ideas!

I am not entirely sure what you mean by %26quot;priced to compensate%26quot;. I infer that you believe that the price for February should extend into spring. Short term rentals change month to month (or nearly) and peak in August. There is no convention of which I am aware that would carry a winter rate into spring simply because someone wants an extended stay.

Have I not understood your question correctly?

You can try the following for month to month agreements:

Just to clarify %26quot;The only offers have been well over priced to compensate for the April and May inclussion.%26quot;

I have been told that April is mid/high season so they can achieve a greater income from renting week to week. I am looking for accomodation available for mid to long term rental at a fixed monthly rate rather than holiday lets with seasonal rates.

Thanks for supplied links. i will check them out.
