New Years Eve in Calais

I enjoy going to and staying in Calais with my 2 daughters. This year my daughters have asked if we can go for New Year%26#39;s Eve. We recently stayed at Hotel Jacquard in town centre, this was a good reasonably priced hotel with a good breakfast. We would like to stay again on New Years Eve, but are wondering if the restaurants in town will be open as usual or would you have to book. And will there be some restaurants open New Years Day in the daytime to have lunch at?

Or are there any restaurants that do a New Years Eve package that i can pre-book at a %26#39;reasonable price%26#39; as I have to pay for it all! Thanks in anticipation.

The best places tend to do specials as you say and need bookings in advance, dinner %26amp; dance type affair. I%26#39;ve never done one but have seen the prices advertised each year and wowed at the cost.

%26quot;The place%26quot; is supposed to be the Casino and I expect the George V and Café de Paris will do something too, all of these are in the rue Royale.

Regarding the lunchtime I expect you%26#39;ll find some open as usual and others who have done an evening event closed.

Perhaps look at the hotels in town to see what they are doing on the evening i.e. Holiday Inn, George V, Meurice or contact the office de Tourisme and see what they know is going on.

Thank you for your reply - think it%26#39;s back to the drawing board. Don%26#39;t want to be wandering around with nothing planned! Thanks again. Cheryll
